Milky way above the wedding cake rock

WKRock.jpg

This fantastic rock was famous for its bleached white colour and peculiar shape. The limestone composition gave its white colour and millions of years of erosion formed its shape. It really looked like a carefully crafted piece of cake hanging above sea level amidst a bunch of orange-tinged sandstones.

P.S. The wedding cake rock is now permanently closed off to the public due to safety concerns. This picture was taken years ago, and I re-edited it during the pandemic lockdown.
