Nebula M78 (M78星雲)

M78 is a reflection nebula in the constellation Orion, about 1,350 light-years away from Earth. The interstellar dust reflects the light of a nearby star and creates this stunning view.

In Japanese TV shows, this nebula is the homeworld of Ultraman - one of my childhood heroes. There’s no Ultraman to be found in this image, but the nebula is no less magnificent than what I had imagined.
