Core of ETA Carina

This image captures the core area of the Carina Nebula. Many iconic deep sky objects reside in this region, including the famous "Mystic Mountain" revealed by the Hubble Space Telescope. Many pillar-shaped structures, including one that looks like a defiant finger, hide among the stars. Those are huge chunks of dense dust clouds in which new stars are born.

(The original data was acquired from Telescope Live, which I processed using pixinsight and photoshop).
